Toys more gendered now than 50 years ago.

A great article in The Atlantic last week by Elizabeth Sweet, a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California at Davis.  She writes about how toys are more divided by gender today than they were 50 years ago.  Princesses were not yet the center of advertising campaigns targeting girls, and boys and girls were offered many of the same toy choices.
